From signup to first payment
Payamatik has no SDK to learn and nothing to install. If you can paste a link, you can take payments. Here's the whole manual.
01
Set up your account
Sign up with an email and password, then choose what kind of account you are:
Business — you sell things. You'll name your business and get a dashboard for payment links and orders.
Personal — you want people to be able to send you money. You'll claim a handle and get a page at payamatik.com/to/your-handle.
Either way, the last step is Stripe's onboarding: verify your identity and connect the bank account payouts should land in. It takes a few minutes and you only do it once. Until it's done, your pages exist but can't accept payments.
02
Create and share a payment link
From the dashboard, hit New link. Give it a title, a price (or leave the amount open for tips and invoices), an optional description, and an optional capacity cap — a link capped at 40 stops selling at 40, guaranteed.
You'll get a URL like payamatik.com/pay/saturday-seminar-h4x2t. Text it, put it in a bio, or embed the ready-made button on any website you run — the embed code is on the link's page in your dashboard.
03
Get paid by card
Buyers land on your link's page, see exactly what they're paying for, and continue to Stripe's secure card checkout. Hosted USDC is not currently available under the Accounts v2 integration and stays disabled until Stripe exposes an authoritative capability signal.
Each successful payment appears in Orders with the buyer's email, the amount, the fee, and the payment method, and prints matching lines to your append-only Ledger.
04
Personal pages: receive money from anyone
Your page at payamatik.com/to/your-handle lets anyone send you money. They type an amount and pay by card — fees are added on top and paid by the sender, so a $50 send puts the full $50.00 in your bank.
If you use crypto yourself, add your USDC wallet address in Settings. Your page will also show a scan-to-pay code for direct wallet-to-wallet transfers. Those are free of platform fees and settle on-chain in seconds — but they happen entirely outside Payamatik, so they don't appear in your ledger and can't be refunded through us.
05
Refunds, payouts, and records
Refunds — issue them from your Stripe Dashboard (one click from Settings). The refund flows back to the buyer and prints to your ledger automatically. The ledger records the refund itself and nothing more: the Payamatik fee on the original charge stays as it was recorded unless it is separately reversed, so a refund never silently rewrites the original fee line.
Payouts — Stripe deposits your balance to your bank on a rolling schedule (typically 2 business days in the US). Every payout is a ledger line, and the full detail is in your Stripe Dashboard.
Records — the ledger is append-only: nothing is ever edited or deleted. What you see is what happened.
